Bloody Sexy review
Bloody Sexy by CL Bledsoe is a fabulous mix of humor and urban fantasy. This is my second excursion into this series, and it was as much fun as the first.
Daisy Janney is a 19-year-old, full-time college student that works at a mortuary part-time. However, this mortuary isn’t your normal run-of-the-mill place where only normal dead people end up. It’s run by two guys, Magnus and Lou, who’ve been around for a couple hundred years. Working here has opened up a whole new world, a fascinating world-one with a lot of interesting, supernatural events that generally equate danger and potentially death for either Daisy or one of her new friends.
Quirky, intelligent, and reckless, Daisy finds herself in another pickle as she tries to help Nathan Venator, aka Hero, solve a serial killer case while protecting a vampire friend.
Mix this in with a vengeful vampire, a best friend whose girlfriend hates her, and a mother with a new boyfriend who’s trying to be all buddy-buddy and you’ve got a suspenseful, humorous, urban fantasy mystery with just enough teenage angst to be amusing, but not so much it weighs the story down.
This book is sure to keep you reading until the very end.
If I seem vague, it’s because I don’t want to give anything away. You need to discover all of the delicious fun for yourself.
This is book the second in the Necro-Files series.
