50-minute swim workout, mid-distance day, 2-24-21
Today was a better swim day. Perhaps it's because the warmup set was more of a warmup set with the slower interval. It seems that I require a good 1100 yards to really get ready to crush my times. (Crush being relative, of course.) I had a really nice compliment from...

Today, I did something a little different for the 50-minute swim workout. I have to admit I'm a bit sad about my swimming lately. It's been a slog the past month or so. Whether it's the pseudo isolation of swimming a workout alone, or I'm burnt out, I don't really...

Although I worked out yesterday, I swam with the team (yay!). Coach Bill Bean gave us a great set, but, alas, I don't remember the warmup set. Perhaps I'll post it if I can remember what we did exactly. LOL As you can see from the title, today is IM day. IM day occurs...

This month, our topic is discussing where our story ideas come from. Honestly, for me, most of them emerge out of three scenarios: the world around me, dreams, and that little voice in my head that asks, “What if?” Those two words are enough to send me down a rabbit...

Today being Friday, it was sprint emphasis day. Even though I had a day of rest, my times didn’t really show that. (Sigh) However, any day in the pool no matter how slow I swim is better than no day in the pool. 😊 I hope you enjoy this 50-minute swim workout. Obviously, you can adjust the intervals to fit your speed.

Swimming alone is hard at times. While I’m grateful for the use of the pool, I miss my swim tribe. I miss my coaches. However, like most swimmers, not swimming when you have access to a pool really isn’t an option. (Running is even less of an option if you are me. LOL) So, I swim alone and write workouts and try to vary them. Hopefully, if you’ve found my blog and these swim workouts, you’re finding them helpful and are either using them as is or cobble a few together by mixing and matching sets. Please adjust the intervals to your speed.
